PIB Hyderabad hosts CPR Demo to promote life-saving skills
As part of CPR Awareness Week, PIB Hyderabad held a mass demonstration at CGO Towers to promote life-saving skills among citizens. The event, supported by St. John Ambulance (India), focused on the importance of timely CPR in preventing cardiac-related deaths.

Hyderabad: As part of the CPR Awareness Week being observed across the country from October 13 to 17, the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Hyderabad, organised a mass demonstration of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at CGO Towers, Kavadiguda, on Friday.
Shruti Patil, Additional Director General, PIB Hyderabad, said the PIB Hyderabad organised the programme as part of the nationwide CPR awareness campaign initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as an initiative to promote practical life-saving skills among citizens.
VVVS Murthy, Director, St. John Ambulance (India), Telangana State Centre, emphasized that sudden cardiac arrest continues to be a major cause of preventable mortality. He said that creating widespread awareness and building community-level capacity for CPR are national public health priorities.
The awareness programme was conducted by experts and doctors from St. John Ambulance (India), Telangana State Centre. The session sought to educate citizens on the importance of timely administration of CPR by trained individuals, which significantly improves survival chances in critical situations.
