Pintoo and Pinki clinch titles at Powergrid inter-region badminton
Pintoo and K Pinki of Northern Region-I claimed the men’s and women’s singles titles at the Powergrid Southern Region inter-regional badminton championship held in Hyderabad, defeating tough opponents in close contests
Hyderabad: Pintoo and K Pinki, both from Northern Region-I, emerged champions in the men’s and women’s singles respectively at the Powergrid Southern Region inter-regional badminton championship held at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy Indoor Stadium here on Saturday.
Pintoo defeated D Hari Kishore of Corporate Centre 23–21, 21–17 in the men’s final, while Pinki scored a 15–6, 11–15, 17–15 win against Pronami of North-Eastern Region in the women’s final.
Mr Doman Yadav, Executive Director (Southern Region-I), Mr Arun Kumar, Chief General Manager (HR), and Mr S V Venkata, Chief General Manager (Finance), gave away the prizes.
