PIS Gandipet: Tributes paid to jawan on Vijay Diwas

Pallavi International School, Gandipet celebrated ‘Vijay Divas’ to mark India’s triumph in liberating Bangladesh from Pakistan in 1971. It was a tribute to the sacrifices of our valiant soldiers and the Indian Army who are the symbol of courage and sacrifice for safeguarding the borders of the country.
India celebrates Vijay Divas to mark the decisive victory over Pakistan in 1971, which resulted in the liberation of East Pakistan and the creation of the new state of Bangladesh. Vijay Divas or Victory Day is celebrated in India every year on December 16.
Students of grade VIII Netra and Naresh hosted the morning assembly. Students sang patriotic songs and danced on Vijay Bhava song. Students presented shlokas and slogans which filled the atmosphere with patriotism. Speeches on the importance of the day were rendered by students along with Nukkad Natak to pay tribute to communal harmony and the sacrifices of soldiers.
School head girl E Harini Sri Reddy penned down an emotional poem and recited the same at the virtual event. The entire staff along with the students paid homage to the immortal soldiers-The Amar Jawans by observing a minute silence.
