Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav directed Vijaya Dairy officials to prepare comprehensive action plans for increasing the sales turnover from the current Rs 800 to Rs 1,500 crore in the next three years.
Efforts should be made to achieve the set targets. The mega dairy project would be launched shortly and accordingly plans should be chalked out, especially with regard to milk collection and marketing of the products, he said during a meeting with Vijaya Dairy officials here on Thursday.
He wanted the officials to explore the possibilities of offering perks and special incentives to the outlets, which record good sales. As per the agreement signed with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Vijaya Telangana Parlours were set up at Indolewai, Pantangi, Korlapahad, Pippala Pahad, Gudur and Ganjal tollgates and more parlours would be set up in the coming days, he said.
In addition to these, Vijaya Telangana products were being sold through Big Basket, Flipkart and Super Dairy companies. On a par with private companies, ghee was being offered in pet jars and efforts were also being made to sell flavoured milk in pet bottles, the Minister said.
He directed the officials to submit detailed plans for the development of Telangana Vijaya Dairy Company and increase Vijaya products sales during the next board meeting to be held on December 16. Measures should be taken to set up more Vijaya Dairy parlours at popular temples, tourist places, National and State Highways, the Minister said.
