Plantation, service programmes mark KTR’s birthday in Khammam

Khammam: TRS cadres and leaders took up extensive plantation and service programmes across erstwhile Khammam district marking MA&UD Minister K T Rama Rao’s birthday celebrations on Saturday.
Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar took part in a massive plantation programme in Raghunathapalem mandal in which as many as one lakh saplings were planted as part of ‘Mukkoti Vriksharchana’, an initiative of Rajya Sabha member, Joginipally Santosh Kumar under Green India Challenge.

The minister also took part in plantation programmes at various places in Khammam city and cut a cake at a celebration organised at TRS party district office. Speaking on the occasion he showered praises on Rama Rao and extended him birthday wishes.
Ajay Kumar said the IT Minister with his political acumen and foresight has recorded many electoral victories for the party and also made Telangana a top player in the country in the field of computer software and allied businesses.
“Because of the efforts of Rama Rao, Telangana is now number one in IT exports and the State has the best industrial policy in the world with TS-iPASS. Similarly, municipalities and municipal corporations are also on development trajectory, the Minister said.
As the working president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi party, Rama Rao made the party an undisputed force in the State with the highest number of party workers in the country and he was always available to the people, Ajay Kumar noted.
MLC B Lakshminarayana, SUDA Chairman, B Vijay Kumar, TRS district office in-charge, Gundala Krishna and others took part in the celebrations and planted saplings.
Similar celebrations were conducted in all Assembly segments in Khammam and Kothagudem districts. Blood donation camps were organised at Kothagudem under the aegis of RVM Trust and by TRS cadres.
At a programme at Kothagudem the District Library Chairman and a senior TRS leader Dindigala Rajender said he was praying fervently for a long and successful life for Rama Rao.
MP Nama extends birthday wishes to KTR
Khammam: MP and TRS Floor leader in Lok Sabha, Nama Nageswar Rao has extended birthday wishes to IT Minister, K T Rama Rao.
In a statement here on Saturday the MP said the minister has become an ideal personality for today’s youth by his innovative service programmes taken up on his birthday. As a young leader, Rama Rao was making great efforts to make Telangana a model for development in the country, he said.
Rama Rao’s initiatives towards all round progress of Telangana under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao were commendable. As the IT Minister he ensured employment opportunities to unemployed youth by expanding the IT hubs across the State, the MP said.
