Player auction for the inaugural edition of the Andhra Pickleball League championship
More than 200 players have already registered and many international and national players would be in action in the League

Hyderabad: Player auction for the inaugural edition of the Andhra Pickleball League championship, featuring eight franchises, will be held on Thursday, according to Mr Sujay Krishna Rangarao, former Minister and chairman of APL.
The League will be held from August 15 in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam and the final on September 20 in Gitam College in Visakhapatnam.
More than 200 players have already registered and many international and national players would be in action in the League with each team spending Rs. 11 lakhs to buy the players. Each team will comprise three women and eight men players, Mr. Ranga Rao said.
The APL chairman also said that there would be a Challenger League separately for those who were not lucky in the auction, he said.
“The whole objective is to popularise the sport across Andhra Pradesh,” the APL official concluded.
