Sangareddy: Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy on Saturday said the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are unable to stomach the phenonemal growth registered by Telangana State.

Accusing them of making baseless comments on Telangana and its leadership, the MP said the Prime Minister should compare the development Telangana during the past eight years under Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s leadership with the work done by him (Modi).

Saying that the Chief Minister took the State to the top position in development and welfare, Reddy said that Modi was in shock as Telangana has overtaken Gujarat in development within a short span of time.

Reddy, who laid foundation stones for a host of development works in Sangareddy Assembly Constituency on Saturday, said even the Telangana BJP leadership was also making unproven comments. Stating that no BJP leader in Telangana, who was at the forefront in criticising the Telangana government, played any role in the Telangana Statehood movement, the Medak MP said that they had no vision either on the future of the Telangana except an eye on the power. He further said that the three BJP MLAs or four BJP MPs had bought no development work though the same Party was ruling the nation.

Unlike the BJP leadership, Reddy said that TRS was led by a visionary Chief Minister who had come up with many developments and welfare schemes that were copied by Centre and several state governments. However, he further said the States ruled by the BJP had also failed to replicate the schemes introduced by the Telangana government. TRS District President Chintha Prabhakar, DCMS Chairman, Malkapuram Shiva Kumar and others were present.
