Karimnagar: Dacoits who looted jewellery in the PMJ jewellery showroom in the town reportedly stayed in a private lodge in Dharmapuri of Jagtial district.
The miscreants, who reportedly stayed in the lodge for two days, vacated it on the day of the crime (on May 3) and reached Karimnagar through rural routes such as Dharmaram, Pegadapalli and Ramadugu. They returned on the same route.
Police carried out searches in the lodge and examined CCTV footage. Mobile phones used by the accused have been verified. Earlier, one of the bikes used by the miscreants was found in Dharmapuri temple town.
Besides black colored pulsar bike, a helmet and water bottle were also found near Mahalakshmi Pushkar Ghat on the bank of Godavari river.
They used a tampered number plate on the bike. When police verified the details of the bike with the help of chassis number, it was found to be belonging to New Delhi. On the other hand, another bike (white color Apache) was reportedly found in Kalamadugu of Mancherial district.
