PMS Alwal: Diyas, sweets add colour to festival of lights

Deepavali, a festival most of the Indians wait for throughout the year was celebrated with great religious fervour virtually by the students of Pallavi Model School, Alwal. Teachers explained to students the essence of the festival of light and cast a shadow on the historical and mythological aspects of the festival during the online event.
Teachers enacted a puppet show showing the return of Lord Rama, Laxman and Mata Sita. Children were very excited when they came to know the different facts that how Govardhan puja and Narak Chaturdashi came into existence. Animated video related to Govardhan puja was also played much to the enthusiasm of the little ones.
Children, along with their parents, joined the event. They made floral rangoli designs and prepared various sweets as part of the festivities. They also designed diyas to make celebrations more colourful.

Teachers and students thanked Principal Sunir Nagi for her creative ideas that added fun and frolic to the festivities. Coordinators Maninder Kaur and Sruthi were also part of the celebrations.
