Police address drinking water problem at tribal habitation in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: Coming to the rescue of a Guthikoya habitation that lacked drinking water facility, Cherla police sunk a borewell to address the problem.
According to the Inspector of Police (CI) B Ashok, Cherla police, during their recent visit to Krantipuram village in Cherla mandal, came to know about the problem residents there were facing. The issue was taken to the notice of SP Sunil Dutt, OSD V Tirupati and Additional SP Vineeth G. Following their nod and support, a borewell was sunk and was fitted with a hand pump, which was inaugurated on Tuesday marking Republic Day, the CI said.
Similarly, 204 Cobra Commandant Prem Singh distributed school bags, books and sweets to children, sarees to women and lungis to men at a programme at CRPF 151 Bn camp at Tippapuram under Pamed police station limits in Chhattisgarh.
Dy. Commandant Amit Pal Singh, Assistant Commandants Kailash, Raj Kumar, village sarpanch Kanna Rao and others were present.
