Police arrest habitual offender in Warangal

Warangal Urban: Central Crime Station (CCS) police and Mamnoor police arrested a habitual offender and recovered Rs 3.50 lakh worth gold ornaments from him on Saturday.

Central Zone in-charge DCP K Pushpa said that Angadi Jampaiah was arrested earlier on charges of committing thefts, chain snatching and bike lifting in several districts of the State and sent to jail. He was released from Cherlapally jail on June 6 last and had begun committing crimes again.


“He burgled several houses under Warangal police commissionterate limits,” she said adding that he was picked up during a vehicle checkup on Warangal-Khammam national highway on Saturday.

The DCP appreciated the efforts of Inspector Lakavathula Ramesh Kumar and his team for nabbing the accused.
