Police lathi charge BJP workers while trying to lay siege to Gandhi Bhavan
A large number of police personnel deployed at Gandhi Bhavan prevent activists from entering the building, shift them to different police stations in the city

Hyderabad: Police on Tuesday resorted to lathi charge to disperse BJP workers, who were staging a protest against the attack on their party office by Youth Congress workers, at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday.
The BJP workers were taken into custody when they tried to stage a protest in front of the Gandhi Bhavan. A large number of police personnel deployed at the Gandhi Bhavan prevented the activists from entering the building and shifted them to different police stations in the city.
The BJP Yuva Morcha leaders and functionaries gathered in large numbers and tried to besiege the Gandhi Bhavan. They raised slogans against Congress and condemned the attack on BJP State office. They even pelted stones towards the Congress headquarters and tore the flexies of the Congress leaders.
The BJP workers were retaliating to the attack by Youth Congress workers on the BJP office early in the day. The police had a tough time keeping the BJP workers away from the Congress office. When the saffron party leaders refused to vacate the place, the police had to lathi charge to bring the situation under control.
