Adilabad police organised a medical camp at a remote hamlet in Gadiguda mandal for tribal residents. Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan urged them to stay away from anti-social elements and assured support in healthcare, employment, and safety
Adilabad: Police organised a medical camp for the benefit of tribals at remote Dhabha (B) hamlet under Ponnur village in Gadiguda mandal on Saturday. Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan was the chief guest at the event. Around 200 tribals attended the camp, police said.
Advising the tribals to stay away from anti-social elements, the SP urged them to share information on strangers with the police. He wanted them to become partners in the fight to eradicate ganja. He also assured a purified water plant for the dwellers of the hamlet soon. He told tribal youngsters to utilise a mega placement drive to be organised by the police in Adilabad town on March 10. He suggested that they must follow road safety norms such as wearing helmets and avoiding drink and drive. He thanked doctors and members of the Indian Medical Association, Adilabad chapter, for extending their support in conducting the camp.
Utnoor Inspector Prasad, Sub-Inspectors Pranay Kumar and Sri Sai, district police officers welfare association president Penchala Venkateswhar Rao and others were present.
