Mulugu: Police have unearthed a Maoist dump in the forests of Kalvapalli under the Sammakka Sarakka Tadwai mandal in the district on Friday.
District SP Dr Sangram Singh G Patil said on Saturday that the Maoists had hidden explosives with a plan to terrorise people. “The CPI (Maoist) Telangana State Committee is planning to wreak havoc in the tranquil Tadwai forests. The Naxals cadres are acting at the directions of Maoist leaders Pulluri Prasad Rao alias Chandranna, Bade Chokkarao alias Damodar, Bandi Prakash and Azad have hidden the explosives in a drum in the forests. 25 gelatin sticks, 25 detonators, a flash camera, revolutionary literature and Maoist DK Special Zone accounts’ sheets of 2015 and 2016 were among the material found at the spot,” the SP added.
