Hyderabad: Veteran politician and BRS leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah will participate in the 19th world summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, taking place in Monterrey, Mexico from September 18 to 21.
The summit will be hosted by the World Meeting of Values ABP celebrating the 200th founding anniversary of Nuevo Leon, a State of Mexico.
Ponnala was extended an invitation by Ekaterina Zagladina, president, Permanent Secretariat of World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates seeking his participation in a series of workshops and break-out sessions to be organised aiming at inspiring young individuals to don the role of proactive agents of peace and progress.
The summit, which offers a platform for amplifying the message of peace, aims to harness the collective wisdom of Nobel laureates and global peace advocates for crafting actionable strategies to tackle pressing issues.
“Peace for progress” will be a focal point for discussion on leveraging peace as a catalyst for economic development, social justice and environmental sustainability. The summit is aimed at positive transformation, motivating communities worldwide to adopt peace building initiatives, according to a press release.
Ponnala, who had his masters in mechanical engineering from the Oklahoma State University, USA will share his insights on among other key aspects on the agenda of the summit, respect for human life, safeguarding dignity, and valuing both oneself and others.
