Hyderabad: The internal road network in several areas of Hyderabad is in a deteriorating condition, causing significant inconvenience to residents and commuters alike. A survey by Telangana Today revealed that many roads are riddled with potholes, making travel both difficult and hazardous.

The lack of maintenance over the past year has further worsened the situation, accelerating the wear and tear of the road infrastructure. Several stretches across the city remain neglected, despite repeated complaints from the public.

Local authorities have been slow to respond to these growing concerns. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) must prioritise the repair and maintenance of internal roads to ensure public safety and convenience. Timely allocation of resources and a focused strategy are essential to improve road conditions.

In several areas, the civic body has also failed to complete internal roadworks, leaving them half-finished and unusable. This not only disrupts daily commutes but also reflects poorly on planning and execution. Immediate attention to these lapses is critical for ensuring smooth and safe transportation for residents.
