Hyderabad: There was a power supply interruption to the 132 KV Madhira substation for about 90 minutes due to the breakdown of the conductor of 132 KV Peddagopathi – Madhira lines in Khammam district due to dragging of conductor by Green Field Highway works vehicle (National Highway Authority) on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the TRANSCO, due to the breakdown a power supply interruption took place in Madhira, Bonakal and Yerrupalem mandals from 4:26 am to 6 am. Officials of TRANSCO and TGNPDCL on a war footing restored alternate supply at 33 KV level at 6 am. They also took up the restoration works of the damaged conductor of 132 KV Peddagopathi -Madhira lines.

The Extra High Tension (EHT) supply to Madhira was restored at 9 am through alternate supply. Further, one circuit of 132 KV Peddagopathi-Madhira-1 was restored at 9.58 am.

This interruption was mainly caused on account of dragging of conductor by the Green Field Highway works vehicle, the release added.
