Kothagudem: The town based Prakrithi Ashram felicitated SCCL employee KN Rajasekhar who received accolades from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The speakers congratulated the employee for receiving appreciation from the Prime Minister, who during his address to the nation as part of his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme lauded him for his green initiatives.
As part of World Vegetarian Day programme organised at the ashram senior citizens Dr. Bathula Krishnaiah, Pillalamarri Varaprasad and Gorre Mallaiah were also felicitated.
The ashram coordinator G Suguna Rao informed that the ashram has extended medical support to thousands of people during the Covid outbreak besides organising environmental and social service activities like naturopathy, plant cultivation, free distribution of saplings, yoga training, adoption of plants in graveyards.
Rajasekhar thanked the ashram organisers for their support in his green initiatives, which helped him to get the rare honour of receiving accolades from the Prime Minister. Congress SC Cell state president J Balashowry, ashram president KH Prasad, Buddhist Society president Kocharla Kamalarani, its secretary Marapaka Ramesh and others were present.
