Mancherial: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy instructed the officials concerned to take steps to conduct Pranahita Pushkaralu on a grand note. He held a review meeting with authorities concerned over conduct of the ensuing Pranahita Pushkaralu slated for April, in Chennur on Thursday. He was joined by government whip Balka Suman.

The Minister said that the government was hosting the mass event at Pranahita, a tributary of Godavari river, for the first time following the formation of separate Telangana State. He told the authorities of Endowments, Revenue and Police Panchayat Raj, rural water supply departments, Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL), to make elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event.

The Minister directed the officials to prepare a report listing the requirement of funds and arrangements needed to be created for the convenience of devotees. He advised them to chalk out an action plan for the event. He stated that he would conduct another review meeting to track the progress of the preparations, soon.

Suman asked the officials to take steps to avoid inconvenience to participants coming for the event held once in every 12 years. He told them to focus on providing basic amenities, bathing ghats, parking lots, temporary roads and medical services at the time of the event. He instructed them to organise it to enhance the image of Telangana.
