Womand and two children bodies found in swimming pool
Hanamkonda: In a twist in the death of a pregnant woman and her two daughters at Punnel village of Inavolu mandal in the district during the late night hours on Wednesday, the woman’s husband reportedly turned out to be the killer.
Initially, it was said that the deceased, Farhath (29), and her daughters Umaira (8) and Ayesha (6), were found dead in a swimming pool at a real estate venture in the village under suspicious circumstances. Her husband Azaruddin took the bodies to MGM Hospital in Warangal, claiming that they fell into the swimming pool and drowned.
Doctors at the hospital, after examining the woman and her daughters, declared them dead. Farhath’s father Shaik Ali, in a complaint to the police, suspected that his son-in-law Azaruddin killed his wife and daughters. Both the families belong to Punnel.
Farhath’s aunt, Mumtaz, speaking to the media at MGM Hospital on Thursday, also suspected Azaruddin’s role in the deaths of Farhath and her daughters. She said that Azaruddin runs a cement bricks manufacturing unit, while his father is into real estate business.
The swimming pool in which the woman and her daughters drowned is owned by Azaruddin’s family. When Farhath was pregnant earlier, she was allegedly forced to undergo abortion twice as her husband did not want a girl child. Azaruddin was allegedly forcing his wife to undergo abortion again, possibly after a sex determination test, but she refused, Mumtaz alleged.
Police officers, during the preliminary investigation, found that Azaruddin took his wife and daughters out on Wednesday evening on the pretext of having ice cream. Later, he took them to the swimming pool; he allegedly pushed his wife first and then his daughters into it to kill them. He also allegedly deactivated the CCTV cameras at the location.
A case under Section 103 (Murder) of BNS, as well as under the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act and the PC-PNDT Act, 1994, was registered against the accused Azaruddin. He is yet to be arrested and the motive behind his act is yet to be ascertained, sources said.
