Prepare status report on tourism circuit in Jangaon, Errabelli tells officials

Jangaon: Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao directed the officials to prepare a status report with complete information on the progress of the development works on the tourism circuit in Jangaon district to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
The Minister was speaking at a review meeting on the progress of works of Palakurti-Bammera-Valmidi tourism corridor at his camp office in Palakruti on Friday with officials including District Collector Ch Shivalingaiah. Later, the Minister inspected the respective development works by visiting the places in Palakurti and Valmidi villages in his constituency.
He also inspected the construction of a government Guest House in Palakurti. Stressing the need to speed up the works, he, however, cautioned them not to compromise on the quality of the works.
The Chief Minister had sanctioned Rs 10 crore to Palakurti, Rs 7.50 crore to Bammera and Rs 5 crore to Valmidi for the development of Someshwara temple, Pothana memorial and Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple at Valmdi respectively to develop the backward Jangaon district as a ‘tourism hub’. He laid the foundation for Pothana memorial works at Bammera in April 2017.
A total of Rs 40 crore were sanctioned for the development of the tourism circuit in the Jangaon district. As a part of this, Someshwara Memorial Stupa, Kalyana Mandapam, Giri Pradakshina track and modernization works of the temple were taken up on the hillock at Palakurthi village. Additional Collector Bhaskar Rao and officials of the concerned departments, and contractors attended the meeting.
