President Murmu to attend IVRI’s 11th convocation ceremony in Bareilly
President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to attend the 11th convocation of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) in Bareilly on June 30. The event will also be attended by CM Yogi Adityanath, Union ministers, and governors amid tight security arrangements
Bareilly(UP): President Droupadi Murmu will be the chief guest at the 11th convocation ceremony of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), to be held at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium in Bareilly, officials said on Sunday.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with two governors and two Union ministers, is also expected to attend the event scheduled for Monday, June 30.
“After her arrival at the airport from Delhi, President Murmu will be formally welcomed by the Chief Minister and Governor Anandiben Patel,” said IVRI Director Triveni Dutt.
Also attending will be Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Choudhary, and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Director General Mangilal Jat, he added.
Security arrangements are in full swing for the high-profile visit. Gangwar, who hails from Bareilly, visited the institute on Saturday to personally review the preparations.
A comprehensive security deployment has been put in place for the President’s visit, including five superintendents of police, nine additional superintendents, 18 circle officers, 55 inspectors, 250 sub-inspectors, 300 female constables, 700 male head constables, and four companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), officials said.
