As part of its experts speak series, Gitanjali Devashray conducted a webinar on eye care for students and parents. Dr Dilnaaz Mujeeb gave insights on ‘Effects of the Computer on the Eye’ on at the online session recently. She provided some tips to reduce eye strain due to online classes/studies

Dr Dilnaaz spoke about how students in the remote learning era are exposed to increased screentime and one needs to take proper care to maintain one’s eyes.

She spoke about the optimal number hours a child can work on the computer and some useful eye exercises and the 20-20-20 rule according to which for every 20 minutes spent using a screen, you should try to look away at something that is 20 feet away from you for a total of 20 seconds.
