Prof. Reddy’s new book highlights India’s aerospace and defence education push
A new book titled Compendium on Civil Aviation Regulations in India, authored by Prof. V Balakista Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Council of Higher Education, was launched in Hyderabad by IT Minister D Sridhar Babu during the 74th annual meet of the Aeronautical Society of India.
Hyderabad: A book titled “Compendium on Civil Aviation Regulations in India”, authored by Telangana Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof. V Balakista Reddy, was launched here on Friday.
IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, who launched the book during 74th annual meet of Aeronautical Society of India, commended Prof. Reddy for his significant academic contribution to the domain of air and space law.
The Minister noted that such scholarly works are essential in strengthening the knowledge base and policy framework of emerging and strategic sectors.
Prof. Reddy highlighted his significant contributions to the fields of Aerospace and Defence Law for the last three decades. He also elaborated on his role in the preparation of the Space Activities Bill, 2017, which is presently pending before Parliament. Emphasising the growing importance of these domains, he underscored the need for strengthening aerospace and defence education and research in India.
He further highlighted the introduction of new innovative UG and PG programmes by TGCHE such as BA and MA (Defence & Security Studies), BBA (Aviation Management), Space Technology, and Space Governance etc.
