Prof SGS Murthy conferred Eminent Engineer National Award

A Hyderabad - based engineer was conferred with a prestigious award for his contributions to the field of civil engineering

Hyderabad: Prof S.G.S. Murthy, a consulting structural engineer based in Hyderabad, was conferred the Eminent Engineer National Award at the ACCE(I) Foundation Day and National Awards 2025 held in Puducherry on Saturday.

The award was presented by Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangaswamy in recognition of Prof Murthy’s contributions to the field of civil engineering over a career spanning four decades.

Prof Murthy has been associated with a range of infrastructure projects in Telangana, including the extension of Cherlapally Railway Station for TSIIC, and works under the CRMP, SNDP, and SRDP programs. He has also served as a consultant for commercial projects linked to Hyderabad Metro Rail, HRDCL, and Air Liquide.
