Hyderabad: A notorious property offender who allegedly snatched a gold chain from a woman at Saidabad early this week was arrested by the city police on Thursday. The police recovered six tolas of gold, a scooter and a dagger from him.
The arrested person, Syed Aslam (30) of Old Malakpet, had on Tuesday allegedly snatched a gold chain from a woman at Saidabad. Around 10 days before the incident, Aslam had stolen the scooter from Santoshnagar police station limits to move around and snatch gold chains. He was previously arrested by the police in connection with chain snatching and an attempt to murder case, and was detained under the PD Act twice, police said.
