Sangareddy: Students and local residents staged a protest at IDA Bollaram on Thursday, blocking the main road and demanding that the RTC operate additional services to meet their daily commuting needs.
The protesters, including students and industrial workers, said the limited number of buses from the area was causing serious inconvenience. Students complained that they were often unable to reach colleges and schools on time, while workers from various industries said they were struggling to reach their workplaces due to the lack of adequate services to key destinations from the industrial town.
Police arrived at the spot and urged the protesters to withdraw their agitation, assuring them that the issue would be taken up with RTC officials for an early resolution. The sit-in led to a brief traffic jam on the main road in IDA Bollaram.
