Pseudo cop held for cheating job aspirants in Hyderabad
He took money from the aspirants promising them government jobs
Hyderabad: The Task Force (West) along with Musheerabad police nabbed a fraudster who posing as a forest beat officer or police officer, cheated job aspirants and collected money promising them government jobs.
The arrested person is Kiran Kumar (30) from Yousufguda and a native of Khammam. He was involved in about a dozen cheating cases across Telangana.
According to the police, Kiran Kumar posing as an officer of police department or forest department patrolled residential colonies on his motorcycle to gain confidence of people.
He collected money from job aspirants on the pretext of providing employment in government services.
In this manner, Kiran cheated five people to the tune of Rs 20 lakh until now. Officials seized cash of Rs 5.4 lakh, a bike and other material from him.
The arrested person along with the seized material was handed over to the Musheerabad police for further action.
