Public health is top priority for government: KTR

Rajanna-Sircilla: The state government has accorded top priority to public health and improving facilities in government hospitals, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao said on Wednesday.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating a liquid oxygen tank, Covid patients ward and dialysis centre in Sircilla district headquarters hospital. While the liquid oxygen tank was established at a cost of Rs 40 lakh, five dialysis units were set up at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.

Later, Rama Rao interacted with patients who visited the hospital for treatment and enquired about the facilities, treatment, response of the medical staff and the problems they faced in the hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said public health was one of the top priorities of the government. Providing quality treatment to people who visit government hospitals was a major objective of the government, and towards this, various facilities are being developed in hospitals, he said.
Talking about Sircilla hospital, Rama Rao said the people who visit government hospital should not face any problems. It was the responsibility of doctors and hospital staff to provide quality services to the people, he said.
TSCAB Chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Nyalakonda Aruna, Municipal Chairperson Jindam Kala, Collector D Krishnabhaskar, hospital superintendent Dr Muralidhar Rao, doctors, staff and others participated in the programme.
