PVNR memorial park at Vangara to be completed in a year: Srinivas Goud

Ministers Srinivas Goud, Errabelli Dayakar Rao laid the foundation for the development of PV Vignana Vedika and PV Museum at his native village Vangara of Bheemadevarapally mandal in the district on Friday.
Hanamkonda: Former Prime Minister late PV Narasimha Rao remains a towering leader in Indian politics. He always strove for the wellbeing of the system and society rather than individuals, said Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao.
He along with State Excise, Sports, Tourism and Culture Minister Srinivas Goud has laid the foundation for the development of PV Vignana Vedika and PV Museum at his native village Vangara of Bheemadevarapally mandal in the district on Friday.
Speaking at a public meeting, Minister Errabelli Dayakarao said that PV Narasimha Rao was a great leader who helped the nation to grow its reputation in the global arena.
Recalling the services rendered by PV to the country, Rao said that the Telangana government was organising his centenary celebrations in India and abroad throughout the year.
Tourism and Culture Minister V Srinivas Goud said PV was a “multifaceted talent” who was the first Prime Minister from South India to rule a minority government effectively for five years. “The memorial park proposed to be set up at Vangara in memory of late PV will be completed within a year with Rs 7 crore,” he added.
PV Centenary Celebrations Committee Chairman and MP (Rajya Sabha) K Keshava Rao said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had decided to organise the PV centenary celebrations in a grand manner. “The festivities have been going well this year,” he said. “PV, a statesman, laid the foundations for modern India, and left his mark on every sector,” Keshava Rao added.
MP (Rajya Sabha) Capt V Lakshmikantha Rao, PV’s daughter and MLC Surabhi Vani Devi, Husnabad MLA V Satish Kumar, PV’s son Prabhakar Rao, PV’s family members and people in large numbers attended the programme.
Later, the Ministers distributed cheques worth Rs 18.08 crore towards loans to the self-help groups (SHGs) of Bheemadevarapalli mandal, Rs 16. 36 crore in interest-free loans, bank linkage and credit cheques to the SHGs of Elkaturti mandal.
Apart from this, Kalyana Lakshmi cheques were also distributed to the beneficiaries of the Bheemadevarapalli and Elkaturti mandals. The Ministers then unveiled the PV statue installed at the PV’s house.
Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Uppala Srinivas Gupta, TSTDC MD B Manohar, DRDO Srinivas Kumar, DRO Vasuchandra, and others attended the meeting.
