Python on Train! Passengers on Andaman Express panic after snake seen in washroom
A python spotted inside the washroom of Coach S-2 on the Andaman Express triggered panic among passengers on Monday night. The train was halted at Khammam station, where RPF officials and a local snake catcher safely rescued the reptile.

Khammam: In a rare but scary incident, a python on a running train triggered panic among passengers, following which a snake catcher was summoned to rescue the reptile after halting the train at Khammam railway station.
According to Railway Protection Force officials, travelling ticket examiner (TTE) Venkateswaralu, who was on duty on train number 16032 Andaman Express bound for Chennai, spotted the python moving in the washroom of Coach Number S-2 on Monday night. The train at that time had crossed Dornakal and was heading towards Vijayawada.
The TTE, while keeping a watch on the reptile, informed Khammam Railway Protection Force (RPF), Circle Inspector (CI) Burra Suresh Goud. The CI then contacted a snake catcher Mastan in Khammam. RPF ASI Sheikh Modina and on-duty constable Ch Madhan Mohan reached platform number one to attend to the train while Mastan caught the python much to the relief of the passengers on board.
Later the train departed without any delay. The passengers appreciated the quick action of the RPF personnel and snake catcher Mastan. The CI felicitated Mastan for his prompt action.
