Quarry material transporters fined Rs 6.4 lakh in Patancheru crackdown
A joint operation by Vigilance and Enforcement, RTA, Mines and GST officials in Patancheru resulted in fines of Rs 6.40 lakh. A total of 42 vehicles carrying quarry material were penalised for violations ranging from lack of valid documents to MV Act breaches
Sangareddy: In a joint raid by Vigilance and Enforcement, RTA, Mines and GST officials on vehicles carrying quarry material in Patancheru constituency, fines totalling Rs 6.40 lakh were imposed on Thursday.
The Mines Department levied Rs 1.80 lakh on 10 vehicles for transporting gravel and other material without valid documents. RTA officials imposed Rs 2.30 lakh on 23 vehicles for violations of the Motor Vehicles Act, while GST officials slapped Rs 2.30 lakh penalties on nine vehicles during the checks.
