Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said the police have been serving the community in every possible manner since the start of the pandemic. He was speaking after launching the Praana Vayu Seva and plasma donation webpage here on Saturday,

“Be it food distribution to needy, free cab services or free ambulance to psycho social counselling services and adoption of orphanages and old age homes, the police have been doing everything,” he said, adding that 77 personnel of the Rachakonda Police had donated plasma so far.

“Seventy per cent of requests received at the Covid Control Room are for plasma. While Rachakonda Police is trying to reach out to whomever possible, the huge demand can be met only if more donors come forward,” Bhagwat said after launching the webpage https://donateplasma.rksc.in, which was developed in association with Rachakonda Security Council.

Donors can register themselves and request for plasma through the link. Bhagwat also launched an oxygen cylinder bank, a joint initiative of the Rachakonda Police and the Rachakonda Security Council, named Praana Vayu Seva.

Those in need can call the Rachakonda Covid Control Room at 9490617234 and fill in the request form duly uploading the documents and obtain cylinders for a limited period.
