Rachakonda police arrest youngster for harassment
Police said the arrested person, Saleem, who discontinued his Intermediate, created fake profiles on Facebook and Instagram accounts and sent abusive messages and harassed women
Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Cybercrime police on Friday arrested a youngster on charges of harassing women on Facebook and Instagram.
The arrested was identified as Shaik Saleem (20), a painter from Halia in Nalgonda. Police said Saleem, who discontinued his Intermediate, created fake profiles on Facebook and Instagram accounts and sent abusive messages and harassed women.
Following a complaint from a woman, a case was booked and he was arrested.
In a separate case, the Rachakonda Cybercrime police arrested a teenager for harassing a minor girl on WhatsApp. The suspect, B Mosaiah (19), a resident of Uppal in Jogulamba Gadwal district, and the victim were from the same neighbourhood and knew each other.
He sent sexually explicit messages and videos to her on WhatsApp. Following a complaint from the girl’s parents, a case was booked and he was arrested.
