Rachakonda police rescue seven minor girls from child labour

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Operation Muskaan – VII team rescued seven minor girls from a bottle washing unit at Saheb Nagar in Vanasthalipuram here on Friday late night. Operation Muskaan is taken up for tracing missing children, identifying potential child labour and adolescents in hazardous occupations.
The Vanasthalipuram Operation Muskaan-VII Team along with the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit officials checked a bottle washing unit in Saheb Nagar where they found that the management had engaged seven minor girl children for washing empty bottles.
The children, all in their early and mid-teens, were rescued and their details have been uploaded in the ‘Darpan App’ for identifying their personal and family details. Later on, in coordination with the Labor Department officials, the rescued children were shifted to a Child Care Center at Hayathnagar. A case was also registered by the Vanasthalipuram police and investigation taken up.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat appreciated the Vanasthalipuram Muskaan Team and AHTU and rewarded them.
