Rachakonda She Teams avert 11 child marriages in nine weeks

According to officials, 71 cases, including 31 FIRs were booked in the last nine weeks

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda She Teams caught 53 persons, including one minor boy for harassing women in the last nine weeks. Apart from this, they averted 11 child marriages during this period.

According to officials, 71 cases, including 31 FIRs were booked in the last nine weeks. All those arrested were counselled at the Police Commissioner’s Camp Office in LB Nagar. In one incident, J Sravan Kumar Reddy from Jodimetla was arrested for peeping through the ventilator of a bathroom, while a woman was inside. In another case, an elderly man was booked for sexually harassing his daughter-in-law in Vanasthalipuram.

Apart from this, many persons were caught during decoy operations at Kushaiguda, Keesara, Malkajgiri and Choutuppal. The She Teams also conducted decoy operations in Metro trains and caught 10 male passengers for intruding into the women’s compartment.

The She Teams also averted 11 child marriages in Bhongir, Choutuppal, Kushaiguda, Ibrahimpatnam and LB Nagar during this period.
