Hyderabad: Fresh off the success of Sivarapalli, actor Rag Mayur is clearly in high demand, with a flurry of exciting projects lined up across genres and banners.

His recent special appearance in Subham, produced by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and directed by Cinema Bandi’s Praveen Kandregula, is drawing widespread praise.

“I wanted to thank Samantha and Praveen for the opportunity,” says Rag Mayur. “My character, Maridesh Babu, felt like an extension of what I did in Cinema Bandi. I loved the quirkiness and the fun spin the role offered—it was irresistible.”

Audiences have responded warmly to his performance, with the film itself emerging as a certified hit.

Up next, Rag Mayur reunites with Kandregula for Paradha, his first full-length lead opposite Anupama Parameswaran. “The character has been intricately woven into the narrative,” he hints. “It’s a social drama, and I believe it’ll offer audiences a fresh, unforgettable cinematic experience.”

The actor is also currently filming a buddy comedy backed by GA2 Pictures, and is simultaneously shooting for Garividi Lakshmi under the People Media Factory banner. The latter is a biographical film based on the life of legendary Burra Katha artist Garividi Lakshmi from North Andhra Pradesh.

“What’s exciting is that every character I’m playing is drastically different,” Rag shares. “It’s pushing me to be more versatile and explore the craft from different perspectives. Working with top production houses has been eye-opening—their vision, their teams, and just being in that atmosphere is elevating my approach to acting.”

With a mix of critical acclaim, meaningful roles, and collaborations with some of the industry’s best, Rag Mayur is carving a unique path—and audiences are eagerly watching.
