Nagarkurnool: Four second-year students of the Government Medical College have been barred from attending classes for two months for their alleged involvement in a ragging incident. Their hostel membership has also been cancelled for a year.
The incident occurred around 15 days ago but came to light on Saturday after College Principal Rama Devi issued a memo to the four students, reports said. Following complaints of ragging in the hostel, the college’s disciplinary committee conducted an inquiry, on the basis of which action was taken.
In a twist, one of the four students had complained of ragging during his first year but was allegedly involved in harassing first-year students this time, reports added.
