Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy flew back to Hyderabad from New Delhi on Friday without meeting Congress MP Rahul Gandhi yet again triggering intense speculation among party leaders and political circles alike that he was being deliberately coldshouldered by the party high command.

The Chief Minister flew to New Delhi on Thursday and met a couple of Union Ministers. Rahul Gandhi’s birthday was also celebrated grandly by the leaders on the same day.

A few leaders, including Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi and former Union Minister Pallam Raju met Rahul Gandhi and greeted him. However, the Chief Minister, who was in the national capital, was unable to call on Rahul Gandhi.

There were expectations among the party leaders that the Chief Minister would meet Rahul Gandhi on Friday and extend his wishes personally. But that did not happen and this left his followers disappointed.

The Chief Minister had met AICC leaders, including Rahul Gandhi in the national capital on June 10 to discuss Cabinet expansion and other issues.

Interestingly, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiva Kumar also had met the Congress MP and photos of their meeting were extensively shared on social media. However, the pictures of Revanth Reddy’s meeting with Rahul Gandhi were not shared, triggering speculations in the Telangana Congress.
