Rahul Srivatsav emerges chess champion

Top four finishers of the Telangana State senior FIDE rated chess championship with their trophies at the LB Stadium, on Sunday. Bharat Kumar Reddy, with seven points, took the second spot while Aditya Varun Gampt stood in third with 6.5 points. Rajasekhar, with 6.5 points, finished at the fourth spot

Hyderabad: International Master Rahul Srivatsav emerged champion with eight points from as many rounds in the Telangana State senior FIDE rated chess championship, organised by Telangana State Chess Academy, at the LB Stadium on Sunday.

Bharat Kumar Reddy, with seven points, took the second spot while Aditya Varun Gampt stood in third with 6.5 points. Rajasekhar, with 6.5 points, stood at the fourth spot. These top four players will represent the Telangana State in the National senior men’s chess championship.
