Chennai: Every single Tamil party and national party should defeat in Parliament the Centre’s attempt to carry out delimitation, top Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said here on Saturday. Speaking to reporters at Mamallapuram near here, Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha alleged that anybody who supports delimitation betrays Tamil Nadu and the future of state, allowing RSS-BJP to attack the people.
“No Tamil person should support delimitation, every single Tamil person should oppose it,” he said. He said the BJP is making an attempt to carry out delimitation. However, it is designed to disenfranchise, take away power from Tamil people, he alleged. Such a bid to take away power from Tamil people is a BJP ‘conspiracy,’ he further alleged.
