Nizamabad: Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind on Monday said the Ministry of Railways has sanctioned a four-lane Road-over-Bridge (RoB) on the Nizamabad-Dichpally highway at Madhavnagar.

“This is a Dasara gift for the people of Nizamabad from the Ministry of Railways, since they have been waiting for this to happen for the last 10 years,” he said. The MP said that due to lack of RoB on the Nizamabad-Ditchpally highway, everyday, thousands of people were facing problems to cross the railway line at Madhavnagar, and even ambulances had to wait for hours to cross the railway line.

Stating that he had received the sanction letter from the Ministry of Railways, Aravind said after joining BJP, he had brought this issue to the notice of the State government several times. “After becoming an MP, I took up the issue with the Ministry of Railways and got the sanction,” he said.

The BJP MP said that in the last DISHA meeting in September, he had exerted pressure on R&B officials to release the State government’s share for the construction of the RoB.

“Because of my efforts, within three days, the funds were sanctioned and subsequently, the Ministry of Railways also gave its nod for the RoB,” he said, and appealed to the department officials concerned to complete the bridge within the one year stipulated period and avoid inconvenience to the people.
