Rains improve inflows into irrigation projects in Telangana
According to Telangana State Planning Development Society, the average rainfall in the State during the last 24 hours was 10.4 mm against the normal rainfall of 5.0 mm.

Hyderabad: Heavy rains continue to lash different parts of the State and there are steady inflows into different projects.
Following heavy rains in the upstream areas, there are good inflows into Jurala project. Till Monday morning, the project received 1.08 lakh cusecs and 1.09 lakh cusecs of water is being released downstream towards Srisailam by opening 18 gates. The current water level in the project is 5.24 tmc against full capacity of 8.94 tmc.
Similarly, there are steady inflows to the tune of 1.08 lakh cusecs into the Srisailam project. The current water level in the project is 45.85 tmc against full storage capacity of 215.80 tmc.
According to Telangana State Planning Development Society, the average rainfall in the State during the last 24 hours was 10.4 mm against the normal rainfall of 5.0 mm. Highest rainfall of 70.5mm was recorded at Marikal in Narayanpet.
The cumulative rainfall from June 1 to July 19 in the State is 402 mm against the normal rainfall of 267 mm with a deviation of 51 percent.
Light to moderate rains or thunderstorms are expected at few places and heavy rains at isolated places during the next two days.
