Raj Bhavan illuminated in pink on occasion of International Breast Cancer Month

The endeavor by the Foundation aims to create awareness about importance of early detection, and equally, spread the message of hope, courage and determination in the fight against the most common cancer affecting women in India.

Hyderabad: For the fifth consecutive year, Raj Bhavan has been illuminated in pink on the occasion of International Breast Cancer awareness month by the Hyderabad-based voluntary organization Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation.

The endeavor by the Foundation aims to create awareness about importance of early detection, and equally, spread the message of hope, courage and determination in the fight against the most common cancer affecting women in India.


Governor, Jishnu Dev Sharma met Dr.P.Raghu Ram, Founder and CEO of Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation and expressed his condolences on the passing away of Dr Ushalakshmi, the Founder Chairman and inspiration behind Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation.

Dr. Raghu Ram said “Very grateful to Governor for permitting the Foundation to illuminate Raj Bhavan in pink. There is a need to spread more awareness about importance of early detection of breast cancer”.
