Hyderabad: Owing to the rising Covid-19 cases in the country, the 37th All India boys Under-19 Cricket Tournament for Rajiv Gandhi Trophy, conducted by the Cricket Federation of Hyderabad, which was scheduled to be held from January 20 to 23, has been put on hold. V Hanumantha Rao, Chairman of Cricket Federation of India, said the tournament would now be held in March-April.
“The participating teams have requested us to postpone the tournament since there are travel restrictions because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The tournament will have teams not only from all over the country but also from other countries. So we have decided to defer the tournament,” said Hanumantha Rao.
