Hyderabad: Cricket Federation of Hyderabad, under the aegis of Cricket Federation of India, will organise the 19th All India Rajiv Gandhi Invitational T-20 Cricket Championship (under-19) here from January 7 to 10, according to V Hanumanth Rao, chief patron and former MP.
Mr Rao informed the media that the matches would be held at LB Stadium, Vijayanand Ground and Amberpet Water Works Grounds.
“I wish to reiterate that it was in this tournament that India fast bowler Mohd Siraj first showcased his talent long back before making it big in Indian cricket. So, this event has always been a platform for young talent who otherwise had no chance to come up with the kind of performances which give them due recognition,” he said.
“In this championship, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Malaysia, Nepal, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Chennai, Bihar, Vidarbha, Karnataka, Bengaluru, Telangana, CCF and Hyderabad will take part,” Rao said.
“Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will be the chief guest for the prize distribution at LB Stadium,” he said.
“We will also organise All India Rajiv Gandhi under-17 and under-15 editions in Chandigarh and Chennai respectively,” Mr Rao said.
