Hyderabad: Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with fervour and gaiety at Pragathi Bhavan here on Sunday. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s sisters Laxmamma, Jayamma and Lalithamma tied Rakhi and blessed him.
Alekhya, daughter of Industries Minister K T Rama Rao, also tied Rakhi to her brother Himanshu. The Chief Minister’s wife Shobamma, Rama Rao along with his wife Shailima, MP J Santosh Kumar and others also participated in the celebrations. Santosh Kumar’s sister Sowmya also tied rakhi to Rama Rao, Santosh Kumar and Prashanth Sagi on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Rama Rao celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the women leaders of the TRS at Pragathi Bhavan. Minister Satyavathi Rathod, Government Whip Gongidi Sunitha Mahender Reddy, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi, GWMC Mayor Gundu Sudharani, Warangal ZP Chairperson Gandra Jyothi, women corporators and other leaders, tied Rakhi to the Minister.
