Sangareddy: As part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, the district administration organized the “Fit India Walkathon” in Sangareddy on Friday. Additional Collector Rajaharshi Sha flagged off the rally with the participants carrying a 75 metre long national flag.
The tricolor was prepared by the NSS and NCC wings of Tara Government Degree College, Sangareddy. Students and teachers from 75 schools and colleges from across the district participated in the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Sha said it was time to stay fit by doing regular exercises, jogging, walking and yoga. He called upon the younger generation to take an oath to stay healthy to build a healthy nation.
Municipal Chairperson Bonguala Vijayalakshmi, ZP CEO Yellaiah, DEO, Nampally Rajesh, Youth Officer Javed Ali, Project Director DRDO Ch Srinivas Rao and others were present.
