Ranga Reddy Excise teams seize 198 NDPL bottles, 12 arrested
Ranga Reddy Excise Enforcement teams conducted raids at Pahadishareef, seizing 198 bottles of Non-Duty Paid Liquor worth Rs 8 lakh. Twelve persons were arrested for smuggling the liquor from Delhi and Goa in violation of Telangana Excise laws

Hyderabad: In a major crackdown on illegal liquor smuggling, the Ranga Reddy Excise Enforcement teams conducted special raids and vehicle checks and nabbed 12 persons on charges of smuggling Non-Duty Paid Liquor at Pahadishareef on Friday.
During the raids, officials seized 198 liquor bottles being illegally transported from Delhi and Goa, in violation of Telangana Excise laws.
The seized liquor is estimated to be worth Rs 8 lakh.
Cases have been registered against the 12 persons allegedly involved in transporting the bottles in cars, buses, and flights from outside the state.
Excise Enforcement Director Shahnawaz Qasim appreciated the enforcement teams for their successful operation against Non-Duty Paid Liquor (NDPL) smuggling.
