The Telangana Prohibition and Excise Department registered 3,086 cases, arrested 2,707 persons and seized 487 vehicles during July and August as part of enforcement operations against NDPL, illicit liquor and narcotics.
Ranga Reddy Excise Enforcement teams conducted raids at Pahadishareef, seizing 198 bottles of Non-Duty Paid Liquor worth Rs 8 lakh. Twelve persons were arrested for smuggling the liquor from Delhi and Goa in violation of Telangana Excise laws
Shamshabad Excise Superintendent S. Krishnapriya said a special team had conducted inspections at the farm house and found NDPL bottles procured from Rajasthan for a party.
